The University of British Columbia (UBC), located in Vancouver Canada, educates a student population of 45,000 and holds an international reputation for excellence in advanced research and learning. In 2006, Newsweek magazine ranked UBC 27th in the world. UBC placed 35th in the world in the 2008 Academic Ranking of World Universities. In 2009, the Times Higher Education Supplement ranked UBC as 40th in the world( Social Sciences 13th, Life & Biomedicine 16th,) Natural Sciences 20th, Arts & Humanities 22th, Engineering & IT 17th). UBC was ranked 36th in the 2008 Shanghai Jiao Tong University Institute of Higher Education rankings.
The Scholarship Information Section will introduce UBC, our Chemistry Graduate program, and scholarships, which provide a stipend of more than $1500 dollars per month for a student. Each year, we admit roughly 20 international students with financial support ( stipend + tuition waiver). All students who expect to receive Bachelor or Master degrees in Chemistry or related areas in the next few years are welcome to the Scholarship Information Section.
