报告人简介：⑴、现在工作单位及职称 ⑵、主要研究方向 ⑶、学术成就简述（100字以内） Prof. Shihe Yang obtained his PhD in 1988 from Rice University (supervisor: Richard Smalley, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry). After a one-year fellowship in Argonne National Laboratory (the Cluster Group), he joined John Polanyi’s group (Nobel Laureate in Chemistry) of University of Toronto as a Research Associate. Afterwards he joined Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor (1992-1998), promoted as Associate Professor (1999-2005) and Professor in 2005. Prof. Shihe Yang has several fields of interest, including Nanomaterials; Fullerenes/metallofullerenes; Energy storage/conversion; Soft molecular interfaces; Structure, dynamics and photochemistry of isolated clusters. He carried out more than 40 research grants, gave more than 100 invited lectures, and published >300 international journal articles (>7000 citations), 1 edited book, 21 conference papers and holds 8 patents. He served as theEditorial Board Member for International Journal of Nanotechnology, Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics, Open Condensed Matter Physics Journals. He is the recipients of NSFC Young Investigator Award (2004-2006) and Wong Kuan Cheng Education Foundation Academic Exchange Award (1999). | |
